The compressed wood block and plugs are made from agriculture and forest – wastes & residues. It can be efficiently used to replace wood. The blocks are in the form of solid square/rectangle shape where as Plugs are solid cylindrical shape centrally holed for fixing horizontally in Paper tube cores widely used in the Paper, Corrugation and Textile industries.

Background

The entire world at present is concerned over limited natural resources which are becoming scarce day by day. The Scientists all over the world are exploring the use of non-conventional energy sources. Briquetting (Block making)technology is a Step towards recycling waste thereby protecting natural resources. Compressed block making process refers the similar process under heat and pressure in the production pattern. This ever increasing demand for conventional packaging are making erosion of the natural sources without replacing them. India being midst of environmental crisis for natural resources. There is a need to adopt some innovative technologies which can produce alternative for wood thereby recycling available inputs without changing the quantum of existing one.

There is a tremendous scope to utilise the natural waste of instead of wood to a considerable level through the development, propagation of non conventional BREQUETTING (Block making) TECHNOLOGY for production of agro residue compressed wood blocks and plugs to meet packaging requirements. Therefore this substitute natural resources & recycling initiative is given national priority as it appears to be the only present solution into restrictions of national loss.

Made from Saw Dust , husk etc. compact 2” - 3” thick ,round and tapered in order to provide the strong grip for core. These are especially used for Textile and Paper products and economical in use substituting the timber wooden plugs. Process in manufacturing Compressed wooden plugs are similar to wooden blocks , differ in shape and size.

Available in sizes 3” , 6” and 12” and can be customized as per the requirement. Centrally hollow having inner circumference of 1” for ease in handling , fixing into the core tube. These are specially designed keeping end use at customer’s end to provide the customized solution.
